Characteristics

The project was initially announced as a main contract. Due to the complicated design, Nyvoll Consult as developed an alternative concept with the same surface as advertised project, but with different construction principles. This option was sent by AF Anlegg in addition to the described solution. The alternative solution was chosen due to lower price.

Nyvoll Consult as has been the consulting Adviser in the offer phase and been responsible for project management for the detail design and construction phase.

The project includes 3 quays along the western part of Sørenga pier which is connected by bridges. The quays are built up as the beam / floor construction in concrete with a portion adjacent wooden pier. All structures are founded on driven piles to hard rock.
